David enjoys all aspects of being a PGA Professional. He is an avid golfer who plays on the Irish PGA circuit, and has multiple wins on the tour. Coaching is a passion of his and he loves to see golfers reach their golfing goals. He also takes pride in presenting the Pro Shop with all the latest fashion and equipment. In his personal life, David enjoys cooking and cheering on his favourite football team, Newcastle United.
PGA Professional
Craig Stewart
Craig moved to Ireland 9 years ago from Torphins, a small Scottish village just outside of Aberdeen. His first golfing job as an assistant professional was at Inchmarlo Golf Centre. This is also where he played his amateur golf. He then moved to Kippie Lodge Sports & Country Club, near Aberdeen, where he worked as a teaching professional. Craig joined Douglas Golf Club in 2020 and has built up a great reputation with members and visitors, as a friendly, professional golf coach.
PGA Assistant Professional
Jack Ahearne
Jack is finishing his 1st year of PGA training, but he already has a wealth of golfing knowledge. He has gained experience working in Naas Golf Club and in Clonmel Golf Club. Jack was a member of the Munster Development Squad as a junior, and he still enjoys playing golf on the Irish PGA circuit. Jack’s ambition in golf is to become an expert golf coach and custom fitter. He is a huge fan of Phil Kenyon and his Viso putting aids, and he loves helping golfers to hole more putts. Jack is constantly looking to grow his golfing knowledge, in order to help his clients in all aspects of the game.
Jack is always happy to help members and their guests in the shop, with any of their golfing needs.
